Downspout disconnection becomes mandatory for most of Ward 26 on 20 November

October 13th, 2011 – As part of the City’s efforts to limit basement flooding and protect our waterways from pollution, City Council has voted to make it mandatory for property owners to disconnect their downspouts from the sewer system. The majority of Ward 26 falls under Phase 1 of this program. Residences east of the Don River West Branch and south of Kilgour Rd must disconnect their downspouts by 20 November 2011.
