Town Hall on Toronto’s Transit Future hosted by Councillor Josh Matlow – Oct 22nd

NOTICE: Transit Town Hall Meeting
Monday October 22nd, 2012
hosted by Councillor Josh Matlow

7pm to 9pm
North Toronto Memorial Community Centre
200 Eglinton Avenue West
Topics:  The Eglinton Crosstown LRT, Yonge subway overcrowding, new transit funding tools, a Downtown Relief Line and more
“Transit continues to be a top priority for Torontonians. The City of Toronto’s Executive Committee discussed potential revenue tools to pay for new transit this week while governance issues between Metrolinx and the TTC regarding the operation of the Eglinton Crosstown have been an ongoing topic of discussion in the news. I’ve been advocating, for a long time, to have a realistic conversation about, and see action on, transit funding and for a Downtown Relief Subway Line (DRL) to be our next priority. A DRL would assist in decreasing overcrowding on our existing subway lines and better connect our city’s neighbourhoods.
Please join me at my upcoming Transit Town Hall to learn more about these issues, and an update on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.”  ~Josh
