922 Millwood Road is the former location of Stanley’s Cleaners.
“The developer has applied for Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning to permit the five storey structure, which is just taller than the four-storey neighbourhood’s designation allowance.
Designed by Makow Associates Architects, the building is framed in an irregular grid of white metal panels. Inset balconies, vision glass windows and wood veneer panels are housed in the gaps, for a varied look in the façade. A 45-degree angular plane steps the building down on its northern elevation, so as not to impose on the single family homes to the north.
The building would be heavily geared towards one bedroom units, with 25 proposed; 5 two-bedroom, 4 three-bedroom and 1 bachelor units would fill out the rest of the building. The developer is proposing 32 below-grade parking stalls, slightly less than the 41 spaces required in this part of the city, as well as 36 bicycle parking spots.”
