Starting Tuesday October 15, crews will begin working extended hours at Mount Pleasant Station to accelerate construction. Extended hours work will be completed in phases, beginning with shallow excavation and roof construction from October 2019 through February 2020. On-site mitigation measures will be in place to minimize disruption caused by this work.
Crews will work Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Excavation, loading and hauling of soil will take place between 6:00 a.m. and midnight, followed by material staging, welding and conduit installation between midnight and 3 a.m. In addition, periodic overnight work will be required for utility installations in live traffic lanes, as well as five concrete pours between October 2019 and winter 2020. Hours of Work

- Site preparation works will take place between 12:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m.
- Crews may not work every night, and work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

- Construction activity on the north side of Eglinton Ave, within the existing work zone, and the station entrances
- Overnight noise from loading trucks, hauling, deliveries and moving of materials can be expected
- Construction lighting will be required; lighting will be positioned away from residential properties
- Periodic overnight concrete pours and utility work in live traffic lanes
Traffic Details
- Dump trucks will travel westbound on Eglinton Ave and northbound on Mt Pleasant Rd
- Traffic on Mt Pleasant Rd is expected to shift east onto a temporary traffic bridge in late October
