Bayview bids a fond farewell to Peter Sandiford

Peter Sandiford in 2018
Sadly, Bayview has lost one of its most lovable and endearing residents and characters.

Peter Sandiford worked and volunteered at Holland-Bloorview (Hugh MacMillan Rehabilitation Centre) for decades. He was fiercely independent and traversed the city on his trusted electric scooter. His black boots were polished to military standard and his white socks were laundered daily. He was a movie fanatic and his favourite pit stop was Jimmy the Greek in Eaton Centre. Nothing stopped him from living life to the fullest.

He had an impish grin and a keen sense of humour. He may have been small in stature, but he was a giant in whatever he pursued. He loved Bayview and Bayview loved him back!

We will all miss him dearly.
